Feed Me Light was stoked with the opportunity to produce this animation video with Night Agency, for their client Kiehl’s. The 2-minute video with 3 trailers, was to be released on Kiehl’s YouTube channel communicating the story behind their new product Nightly Refining Micro-Peel Concentrate.
Based on the key character Jim, a small quinoa husk, the video was to tell ‘A Husky Story’, or the Unexpected Skincare Triumph of a Quinoa Husk Named Jim. In the video we travel with Jim on his journey from his home on the quinoa farm to then be a fundamental ingredient in the new Kiehl’s Micro-Peel product.
With relative creative freedom given to the team, concept development for Jim and his friends was entertaining. We could explore and play with as many different ideas as we wished.
We worked through a series of different ideas for all of the characters before choosing to move forward with a Jim that is cute, a little bit weird but has bundles of personality.
After our little hero got picked, the rest of the character research began.
